What does my Venus sign mean?

Venus is the planet tradition associates with love, attraction, pleasure and money. Its sign is read as your style in relationships and taste, which is why it is often compared between partners alongside the Sun and Moon. It is a traditional lens for reflection, not a verdict on any relationship.

Why is my Venus sign often next to my Sun sign?

Seen from the Earth, Venus never strays more than about 47 degrees from the Sun, so your Venus sign is always your Sun sign or within two signs of it. About every 19 months Venus also turns retrograde for roughly six weeks, which the result marks if it applied at your birth.

Do I need my birth time?

Rarely. Venus usually stays in a sign for three to five weeks. If it changed sign on your birth day, the result flags it and a birth time decides it.

The Western result uses the tropical zodiac and the Vedic result the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa. How the calculations work.
