By using kendraya.com you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language on purpose. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

1. Who I am and what Kendraya is

Kendraya is an independent website operated by one person. "I", "me" and "my" refer to the operator; "you" refers to any visitor. Kendraya calculates astronomical positions for a birth moment and presents them alongside traditional astrological interpretation and original reflective writing. It is free to use and requires no account.

2. For reflection and entertainment only

Astrology is a tradition of interpretation. It has not been scientifically established as a method of predicting personality, events or outcomes. Everything on Kendraya that goes beyond the raw astronomical positions (sign descriptions, Moon mansion themes, life chapter reflections, daily prompts and similar content) is offered for reflection and entertainment. It is not, and must not be treated as, medical, psychological, legal, financial, relationship, career or any other professional advice, and it is not a prediction of the future. Decisions you make remain entirely your own, and I encourage you to consult a qualified professional for anything that matters to your health, finances, safety or legal position.

3. Accuracy of calculations

I take care to compute planetary positions accurately using the custom Kendraya engine and documented settings, which are described on the how it works page. Results still depend on the birth details you enter, on historical time zone data and on the conventions chosen (for example the sidereal ayanamsa, house system and period year length). Other software using different conventions may show different signs, houses or dates. I do not warrant that any chart, position, date or interpretation is complete, accurate or suitable for any purpose.

Journal notes and saved profiles are stored only in your own browser. I do not receive them and claim no rights over them. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for anything you choose to download or share.

6. Intellectual property

The Kendraya name, design, illustrations, interpretive writing and software are mine or licensed to me and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes and may share a chart you generated for yourself. Calculations use Kendraya’s custom engine. Third-party data and adapted routines retain their own rights, recorded in the technical notices. Zodiac and planetary symbols are traditional.

7. Advertising, analytics and affiliate links

Kendraya may display advertising (including Google AdSense), use analytics (including Google Analytics 4) and include affiliate links (including Amazon links). As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Advertisers and affiliate merchants are independent of me; I am not responsible for their products, services, prices or privacy practices, and a link or advertisement is not an endorsement. How these services handle information is described in the privacy policy.

8. Third-party links and services

The site links to third-party websites and relies on third-party services such as geocoding. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content, availability or conduct.

9. No warranty

Kendraya is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability and non-infringement. I do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable to you or anyone else for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of, or inability to use, Kendraya or any content on it, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if I have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability for all claims relating to the site will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid me to use it (which is nothing, as the site is free) and ten United States dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case my liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold me harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or connected with your use of Kendraya, your breach of these terms, your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, or any decision you make in reliance on the site's content.

12. Changes and termination

I may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice, and may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. I may restrict access for anyone who breaches them.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where I am established, without regard to conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of that place, unless the consumer protection law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
