Jupiter return calculator

A Jupiter return is when Jupiter comes back to the exact place it held at your birth, about every 11.9 years, around ages 12, 24, 36, 47, 59, 71 and 83. Enter your birth date and I calculate every crossing in both zodiacs.

What is a Jupiter return?

Jupiter takes about 11.86 years to circle the zodiac. When it reaches its birth position again, astrologers read a new twelve-year cycle of growth, learning and opportunity beginning, a lighter and more frequent counterpart to the Saturn return. Like Saturn, Jupiter can cross the degree three times when it turns retrograde nearby.

Jupiter in Vedic astrology

In Vedic astrology Jupiter is Guru (or Brihaspati), the planet of wisdom and teachers. Its transit through each sign lasts about a year and is read from the Moon sign as well as the rising sign. The sidereal dates shown here use the Lahiri ayanamsa.

How is it calculated?

Your natal Jupiter comes from NASA/JPL DE440s orbital data. I scan the months around each expected return day by day and narrow each crossing of that degree to the minute, in both zodiacs. How the calculations work.
